Sr. Inventory Analyst

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years financial analysis and accounting experience  ​Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

5-7 years of financial analysis and accounting experience Robust background in cost accounting and/or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment Experience with data querying tools, Oracle, and Hyperion Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, with a self-motivated, team-oriented perspective Strong understanding of GAAP and auditing principles and practices Extensive experience with Excel and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products Ability to learn quickly, work on multiple concurrent assignments and complete assignments in a timely and organized approach

 

Job Description: 

The Senior Inventory Analyst will be responsible for compiling, maintaining and analyzing financial data to ensure accurate reporting and support daily business activities. The analyst must be well organized and high-energy and have a passion for the business. This position will report to the Cleveland Wheels Controller and be based in Cleveland, OH.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Inventory Analyst will analyze financial, operational, and market data to advise on their impact on the location’s financial performance. This position is a key role in the facility, given the volume and complexity of inventory in the Cleveland Wheels flowpath, as well as the fluctuations in the metal market.

 

Major Activities and Key Challenges Include:

Partnering with manufacturing and planning teams for inventory management and metal cost forecasting Forecasting and analyzing inventory costs, completing detailed variance analysis, including material costs and manufacturing absorption  Performing quarterly absorption testing to ensure costs are properly absorbed into inventory Leading the annual inventory standards review Act as finance lead for inventory control activities; inventory movement & reporting Analyzing flowpath decisions and identify potential savings opportunities Ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place and corporate policy is followed.  Leading Sarbanes Oxley compliance around inventory, and demonstrating location controls to internal and external auditors Providing guidance to manufacturing floor employees, manufacturing supervisors, and leadership team as it relates to all aspects of inventory integrity Analyzing metal market impact on inventory value Reporting monthly inventory value and variance analysis against budget & forecast Analyzing WIP job variances to understand drivers. Leading the manufacturing organization in understanding and making corrections where necessary Preparing metal accounting monthly JE’s, including metal market revaluation, LIFO, and intercompany revenue adjustments Key partner in physical inventory process, including variance analysis and reporting and compliance.
