As a Sr. Instructional Designer, you will design and lead comprehensive Learning & Development program development and departmental strategies to implement best in class training solutions. The Sr. Instructional Designer will assess training needs based on organizational performance, act as a consultant to stakeholders on adult learning and instructional design principles and apply best practices to learning and training within the organization.

Responsibilities Lead the design, development, evaluation, pilot and delivery of new learning and development programs through collaboration with shared servicesManage resources and budgets to ensure the effective delivery of curriculum, programs, and processesResponsible for managing multiple complex projects at once with proven project management skillsManage, coach, and support the success of junior team members within and across teams via informal reporting relationshipsPerform due diligence on vendor documentation to identify risks, gaps, or issues and communicate to management and effected business areasPerform in-depth scoping and needs analysis for moderate to complex instructional design projectsChampion for training innovation by researching, consulting on and leveraging new training techniques and opportunities for integrating technology componentsRegularly participating in meetings and maintaining effective relationships with project stakeholders and SME’s, and managing needs and/or gap analysis to determine training requirementsDevelop instructor-led and self-paced leaning material that establishes and delivers on clear objectives, engages leaners, conveys real-world understanding, and positively impacts learnsEstablish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risksEnsures the development, integration, and adoption of inclusive approaches to learning and developmentMay manage the workflow of course development, assign and mentor instructional design staff on projects  Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master's degree in an Instructional Design, Education, Business, Administration, or Management related fields5+ years of experience conducting analysis, identifying, articulating, and validating the new assessment requirements, creating new learning objectives, and designing complex learning assets5 years of experience reviewing and analyzing multiple curricula and program assessment requirementsAptitude to lead a distributed, cross-functional team5 years of project management/operations experienceExperience with Vendor ManagementOr equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Confident and skilled facilitator with a background in leading programs with specific focus on operations team development including technical skills and leadership developmentStrong scripting and graphic design skillsStrong strategic-thinking skills with an ability to collaborate with team members on best practicesAbility to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex environmentAbility and experience using common and leading-edge Instructional Design software and authoring toolsProficiency in using learning management systems, content development tools (such as Articulate 360 and Vyond), and other relevant software.Prior experience in the A/E/C industry is preferable.Facilitator certification (such as Development Dimensions International) is preferable.Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with ability to influence and build relationships at all levelsStrong analytical skills and ability to analyze a business problem, assess and identify development needs, and translate into leadership development strategy and tactics.Strong project management skills including ability to set targets, track to milestones, and complete projects. 

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    
For Richmond, VA this ranges from $94,000.00 -$129,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Providence, RI this ranges from $97,000.00 -$135,000.00  plus benefits and retirement program.
