Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** GENERAL PURPOSE The Sr EHR Instructional Designer A (IDA) serves as an instructional design expert for assigned applications. The IDA supports the training program in all areas of instructional design and through all phases of an implementation. Works with technical staff and key stakeholders to identify requirements, recommend, plan, design, execute and evaluate instructional design, training database build and experiential learning programs. Provides in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain, adult learning theory, and training standards to develop training curriculum and documentation to support operations, standardize processes, gain workflow efficiencies and improve patient care. The Sr. Instructional Designer A assists with leading tasks, ensuring timelines are met, and collaborating with management regarding process improvements, efficiencies and system innovations. Provides guidance and training expertise to trainers. The Supply Chain ID reports directly into Training Director – ISD Enterprise Training and supports the ISD Supply Chain Director in all training related activities. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Serves as the instructional design expert for assigned user groups and applications. Utilizes application knowledge, Supply Chain and training best practices and standards, as well as adult learning theories to independently gather requirements, plan and design training solutions and resources for all phases of projects, enhancements and steady-state training. Coordinates training resources, tasks, timelines and communication plans, working collaboratively with other areas. + Serves as primary trainer and/or facilitator. Performs training and facilitation duties and manages classroom responsibilities related to in-person and virtual classroom instruction, facilitation, and experiential learning, including but not limited to, managing class roster and attendance, sending meeting invites, answering learner questions, and classroom management. + Acts as the primary content resource and workflow expert to Trainers, maintaining in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain applications, related workflows and processes. Coordinates and leads training workgroups, Train the Trainer sessions and educates Trainers on functionality and workflow changes. Provides input on staff development plans related to classroom instruction and the train the trainer process. + Reviews, troubleshoots, and resolves training requests and incidents. Collaborates with stakeholders to seek resolution of system issues and communicates risk implications. This includes on-call responsibilities. + Evaluates, establishes and executes on training needs for projects, upgrades, go-lives, enhancements and workflow modifications specific to assigned applications. Leads assigned training project work and coordinates the activities of the training team. Assigns and monitors project tasks, resources and priorities. Performs workflow analyses and documents as necessary. Identifies the best-fit instructional design solution and contributes to set up decisions based on the identified needs. Identifies barriers to project completion and communicates and or escalates needs with leadership. + Encourages, coordinates, surveys and addresses instructional design feedback, QA tracking and follow-up. Monitors and directs training content, design effectiveness and operational impact. Maintains application specific knowledge, training, adult learning Supply Chain and related application best practices. Develops related processes and procedures and documents accordingly. + Coordinates marketing strategies and messaging promoting instructional design and or system changes and updates with communications representative, project leaders, informatics and operational leaders. Reviews messaging and manages communication channels. Maintains web pages to ensure content is up-to-date and relevant. + Determines the best method to design and build the Supply Chain training database scenarios based on application documentation, knowledge of the system and the intended use of the training database. Ensures the database is in good working order to allow for training and practice. + Maintains in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the training program, including policies, procedures, processes, team members and the LMS.
