Sr. Implementation Consultant - Environmental Accounting

At Sphera, a Sr. Implementation Consultant is regarded as an implementation expert within the knowledgeable, customer focused, digital services EHS&S team. This dynamic team works with our enterprise customers to successfully implement Sphera’s suite of ESG and environmental compliance applications (Environmental Accounting and Compliance Assurance), provides internal support for implementation questions, brainstorm solutions, and act as the hub of communication to all project team members. The Sr IC will be responsible for technically leading implementation projects through an understanding of the customer's requirements and goals, guiding them through the implementation design and blueprinting phases and working with other team members to build, test, train and deploy successfully.

This person must be experienced in EMIS implementation consulting and project delivery, especially in Environmental Accounting (or equivalent software products, opsInfo is preferred), and must understand the importance of delivering simple, easy to use solutions to our clients. Must be an effective communicator, detail-oriented, exceptionally organized, have a willingness to learn and ideally have experience in a SaaS environment. Must be willing to work independently as well as collaboratively. Experience in leading workshops, preparing statement of works/proposals and supporting sales activities, is preferred.

Specific Job Duties

SOLUTION CONSULTING (70%)

Uses subject matter expertise to facilitate solution design workshops with clients.

Guides clients by providing product insights and best practice methodologies.

Develops solution design documents and performs requirements analysis.

Performs implementation work through system configuration, testing, training, and deployment as necessary.

Mentors and coaches client project team throughout the life cycle of the project.

Collaborates with the Sphera product team to address project-related product enhancements and issues

Updates standard project templates for project-specific use

PROJECT MANAGEMENT (20%)

For large scale enterprise projects, the Sr. Implementation Consultant and Project Manager will work collaboratively. For small to mid-sized projects, the Sr. Implementation Consultant may also be responsible for Project Management activities including:

Responsible for the timeliness and quality of the implementation of the solution, including all deliverables to the customer.

Supervising all aspects of a project, including planning and task analysis, assigning appropriate resources, tracking progress to the completion of all deliverables.

Managing budgets, managing project risks and leading deployment activities such as a readiness audit and lessons learned discussion.

Creates and executes project work plans and revises them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

Develops project planning documents using project management techniques,

including project charters, scope statements, testing plans, and project schedules.

Identifies resources needed to complete the deliverables and assigns individual responsibilities.

Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.

Reviews deliverables prepared by project team before passing them to client.

Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.

Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.

Minimizes our exposure and risk on projects.

Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Provides project status reports and metrics.

PROJECT ACCOUNTING (10%)

May also be responsible for:

Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a routine basis.

Manages project budget.

Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for projects.

Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent based on experience is preferred.

Required Experience

5+ years of EMIS consulting and project delivery.

Working knowledge of regulatory requirements such as Title V, 40 CFR 98, 40 CFR 60, NPDES, RCRA, TRI

Working knowledge of industry standards related to construction and applicability of emissions calculations such as AP 42

Familiarity with processes related to asset-intensive industries, such as the oil and gas sector

Excellent technical and non-technical writing, editing, verbal communication, presentation skills

Strong project management and planning skills

Experienced and comfortable in supporting sales colleagues.

Experience in discussing project planning and issues with customers.

Able to perform in teams.

Travel Requirement

Ability and willingness to travel globally

Pay:

$89,600.00 - $134,400.00 + Eligible for Variable Compensation Plan
