Sr. Financial Analyst

Job Description:

This role reports to and works directly with the Corporate Finance Manager and Corporate Budget Holders to support the financial reporting, budget development, analysis and presentation to Mars Leadership Team.  This Associate is responsible for the collection, compilation, analysis and reporting of financial information for the financial shaping/decision-making process, as well as preparing presentations and making recommendations to management.  In addition, this role oversees several key accounting close activities as part of the Corporate Office finance team.What are we looking for?

High degree of collaboration and socialization in the interest of properly maintaining relationships and proactively managing expectations.  Role is global in nature and will require flexibility to participate in meetings that might frequently occur outside of normal business hours in local time zone.  Travel requirements (up to 10%).  Dynamic environment, requiring flexibility to frequently shift priorities.  Need to be able to process high volumes of information quickly and tease out relevant components.  Need ability to maintain comfort in environment of frequent and significant change while managing complex challenges.The role requires sound communication skills employed to modify the beliefs & opinions of immediate teams and other peers in the business units. Establishing effective collaborative relations across segments and functions within Mars is a critical part of the job. The ability to do this successfully will greatly impact overall effectiveness.

What will be your key responsibilities?Helps Manage the Financial Planning Process of Mars Corporate including Corporate Shared Service costs, liaising with different functions and management. Ensuring financial plans are fully aligned to the strategic direction and aspirations of the business.Strategically co-pilot members of the corporate staff on financial decisions within their global functions to make decisions and tradeoffs on functional priorities.Create and present the financial analysis that is necessary to measure the financial results and guide future business decisions.
