Job Description

As project manager you are expected to coordinate people and processes to ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. Key responsibilities include developing detailed project plans and managing resources assigned to the project.

This position is in the Finance System Strategy function within the Finance Controllership organization. The role provides business project management leadership in supporting Finance projects for financial reporting, financial planning, revenue, and expense. The person in this role will work across multiple business and technical units within Visa to drive overall project success.

Hands on, day to day management of multiple, cross functional, global projects will be required.

Manage high profile projects addressing highly complex business issues that have significant impact to the Finance function and across Visa as an enterprise. Projects are designed to standardize business processes and systems, improve speed, quality, and internal controls of Finance systems and solutions.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least
5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or
more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters,
MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
•10 plus years of hands-on work experience as project manager, delivering
complex business initiatives
•Excellent understanding of SDLC, Hybrid and Agile project management
techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
•Prior Financial Services Industry experience is required, with a solid
understanding of the functional and technical aspects of ERP, Enterprise Cost
Accounting, Billing, Revenue (pricing, invoicing, reporting, master data, etc.),
and Planning and Budgeting systems.
•PMP Certification required, Scrum Master certification desirable.
•Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks
simultaneously.
•Effective leadership qualities, ability to influence without direct management
authority, experience managing conflict to achieve project goals, transparency
with management and stakeholders.
•Self-motivated, able to work independently while coordinating activities with
cross-divisional teams.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 142,200.00 to 206,350.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
