EIIC functional excellence organization will work with global Engineering Functional Excellence leaders in CTO’s office, Electrical and Industrial Sector businesses.
This Sr. engineering position will support the development and evolution of next generation product development life cycle (PDLC) process (PROLaunch) & Engineering information management. This position will be responsible for supporting the drive for the faster product launch processes across the organization by leveraging existing PDLC framework (PROLaunch) and digitalization approaches thru information management. This role will help in deploying the long-term roadmaps for developing and deploying digitization of various artifacts, PDLC steps etc, and also will contribute to build intelligence within these steps. This role will support to enhance and implementation of a state-of-the-art Engineering Information Management (EIM) system across the organization. These EIM systems/Tools would allow the easy-to-use collaboration on a Single Source of Truth for engineering data across teams and disciplines. "
"The candidate in this position is responsible to :
1) Use systematic tools to gather the voice of customers from key functions of all businesses on PROLaunch guided tools digitization, synthesize inputs to form requirements for improvement
2) Work with business stakeholders for capturing requirements, post processing of data by utilizing digital tools, benchmarking to develop comprehensive proposals.Competent in understanding the business requirements and efficient enough to translate the same into IT requirements (Past experience as business analyst or requirement analyst will be added advantage)
3) Identify applicable opportunities for automation & digitization of Engineering processes/ templates using appropriate tools such as Excel Macros, VBA, Python, PowerApps & other O365 tools. Continuously builds digital skills to simplify tools and tools using processes. Develops impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI and sharing those reports effectively using Microsoft Power Platform.
4) Effectively integrate various templates, department-level best practices for new product design & transferable practices, within the organization for different project types (from sustaining till new product and technology developmeent programs)
5) Identify opportunities to standardize and digitize Engineering tools across businesses and lead efforts to get them implemented
6) Develop and implement effective training plans for all levels of the organization that help develop and sustain adoption of upgraded tools
7) Conduct tool effectiveness assessments, monitors assessment outcome and corrective action plans, and impact business results
8) Conceptualize and implement next gen tools framework (for new product development) including databases, risk assessments and visual dashboards
8) Manage effective stakeholder communications. Improve organization responsiveness to stakeholder requirements. Communication and manage customer expectations and commitments internal to the business."
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer. Strong understanding of new apps/wigdets/ software tools developments. Good understanding of industrial product launch processes (PDLC).
4-5 years’ experience in tools/apps development for industrial product development applications, with a total experience of 8-9 years
"1. Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
2. AI literacy, able to handle various intelligent charters / ideas, route the saem thru right applications and being able to define end to end cycle of AI app development etc.
3. Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
4. Software Development: Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., Git, JIRA).
5. Data Analysis: Strong understanding of data analysis and manipulation, often using libraries like Pandas (Python) or frameworks like Apache Spark.
6. Development experience with low code no code platform preferably such as Microsoft Power Platform
7. User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design: Skills in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, possibly using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
8. API Development: Experience in developing and integrating APIs to ensure seamless data exchange between systems.
9. Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing applications.
10. Relevant experience in application development for indsutrical product design process - the aaplications may include requirement management scorecard, product design scorecard, DFMEA tools etc.
11. Shall be aware of industrial new product design related PDLC, PLM, DFSS, Design engineering, CAD tools etc.
12. Capable of developing the requirements /user stories etc., understands data engineering
13. Shall be aware of upcoming AI technologies and possible applicabtions of the same w.r.t. the new tools or apps being developed
14. Hands-on experience in developing software and end to end SDLC related project management: Experience in managing software development projects from conception to deployment.
15. Excel Knowledge: Deep understanding of Excel functionalities to effectively translate them into new tools.
16. Testing: Proficiency in writing and executing tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
