Sr. Engineer, Traffic Operations Richmond, VA, USA Req #556 Friday, January 3, 2025 This is a full-time hybrid role for aSr. Engineer, Traffic Operationsat Iteris, Inc. in Richmond, VA, with some remote work flexibility. The Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to traffic operations, research emerging technology and new ITS design, oversee ATMS software development program, manage all aspects of ITS, Signal and Traffic Engineering projects from inception to completion, and conduct studies and make recommendations on TSMO, Traffic Operations solutions and strategies. What you will be doing: + The Specialist will be responsible for tasks related to traffic management, analyzing data, effective communication, strategic planning, program implementation support, conduct research on best practices nationally, develop guidance documents, manage multiple projects, produce design plans, conduct analysis and research, produce documents, communicate with client, and supporting traffic operations, TSMO, ITS and traffic engineering programs + Ideal candidate is strongly preferred to be located within the Richmond, VA metro area What you need to be successful in this role: + A Bachelor's Science degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering required + Minimum 10 years’ experience in Traffic Management, TSMO, ITS, Traffic Engineering, or Transportation Design and Planning + Experience managing complex projects + An advanced degree (Master of Science or PhD) is strongly preferred + Demonstrated experience with software development for public sector client + Demonstrated experience developing Concept of Operations or following System Engineering process + Ability to apply engineering principles and practices to a variety of complex projects + Experience performing operational analysis and data analytics Iteris anticipates paying between $108,500 and $120,800 for this role.
