JOB SUMMARY
The Senior EDI Implementation Specialist will work directly with the EDI Manager to design, develop, test, maintain, and support the EDI interfaces and systems between PIP’s trading partners and core business systems. This position will be directly responsible for new trading partner integrations as well as maintaining and improving existing trading partner profiles with the goal of maintaining high scorecard ratings. The Senior EDI Implementation Specialist functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the team and company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
+ Provide leadership in the setup and maintenance of EDI systems, processes, and partnerships including tracking and reporting of operational metrics.
+ Provide a seamless integration experience for new trading partners through effective communication and timely responses.
+ Troubleshoot and solve Integration and EDI transactional level problems and re-transmit transactions as needed.
+ Review business processes and recommend improvements based on reoccurring themes.
+ Collaborate and interface with our internal and/or external EDI mapping team.
+ Work with the EDI coordinator to review trading partner scorecards with the goal of improving scores through process improvements and training.
+ Develop and implement PIP documentation.
+ Search out opportunities to improve electronic business transactions:
+ With new trading partners.
+ Expand the transaction set with current partners.
+ Automating electronic business transactions internally.
+ Interface with other IT resources and business users domestically, and as needed internationally.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge & Experience:
+ 5 to 7+ years of experience in the Integration and EDI transactional level in a consumer products manufacturing/distribution organization with:
+ Advanced EDI standards knowledge
+ Previous EDI mapping experience.
+ Experience dealing with major retailers and retailer’s portals.
+ System mapping design and troubleshooting
+ Database knowledge such as SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
+ Understanding of business processes improvement principles.
+ Ability to document and communicate processes and steps.
+ Experience working in a high growth, changeable environment with competing priorities.
