This position is the lead technologist and architect in our global IT organization reporting to the Chief Information Officer. In this exciting role, you will lead our technology strategy and architecture as well as capability development for automation, integration, AI-initiatives, and data platform improvements.
You will play a pivotal role in our technology transformation, driving innovation and defining our technical strategy and architecture in close collaboration with both business and technical teams to ensure implementation of best-in-class solutions and standards across the organization.
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Develop and implement technology architecture strategies that align with business goals and technological advancements.
+ Work across teams to define and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and roadmaps.
+ Stay informed about emerging technologies and their potential impact on Brady.
+ Deep understanding of various technologies, platforms, and architectures.
+ Ensure architecture and technology strategies enable systems that are scalable, resilient, and maintainable.
+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technology and application development teams.
+ Oversee the development lifecycle and ensure projects deliver expected outcomes.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges.
+ Lead innovation processes that improve the business and increase capacity in our teams.
+ Lead and mentor development and architecture teams.
+ Recruit, train, and develop team members.
+ Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
+ Communicate architectural decisions and technical strategies to stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and integration.
+ Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
+ Understand the business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
+ Demonstrate business acumen to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
+ Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering innovative and efficient solutions.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
+ Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
+ 10+ years of software development experience
+ 7+ years of managing software engineers and solution architects, including hiring and performance management
+ Strong understanding of current architecture and software development best practices
+ Experience with agile development practices
+ Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
+ Experience designing, developing, and leading scalable and secure enterprise solutions
+ Strong understanding of the tools of the trade, including architecture patterns, data architectures and tools, solution design, and modern development practices and tools.
