**DESCRIPTION**
The Sr. Director of Logistics Management will play a crucial role within the organization, focusing on controlling, delivering, and distributing products and materials to the destination. This role is responsible for leading the execution of an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Direct all aspects of the organization’s logistics management function.
+ Lead the execution of an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations.
+ Oversee critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation functions that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI’s for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
+ Establish governance and quality auditing processes to monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement.
+ Utilize analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost.
+ Manage a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.
+ Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develop budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
+ Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to OSHA guidelines to promote safety and efficiency.
+ Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum Qualifications-Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
+ 10+ years of logistic experience
+ 5+ years of managerial experience in the related area as an individual contributor
+ Forklift certified
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function
+ Strong knowledge of logistics systems and processes.
+ Ability to manage a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.
+ Ability to make day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department.
+ Some authority for personnel actions.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholder
**Work Environment and Physical Requirements**
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment weighing less than 15 pounds. This position involves viewing a computer monitor for more than 30% of the time.
