Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$150,000 - $220,000

Job Summary:

As the Senior Director of Content and Editorial, you will be at the forefront of crafting and leading innovative content and strategies that amplify Lilly’s brand and global narrative in support of the Science, Brand and Impact communications portfolios. You’ll shape powerful stories that drive engagement, impact and alignment with our broader organizational goals.

In close collaboration with the Senior Director of Content and Video, you will define and execute a dynamic, integrated content strategy that spans multiple channels, ensuring consistency and relevance across platforms.

An integral part of your role will be setting and coordinating the editorial strategy for communications. This will require collaboration across portfolios with creative leads, communications directors and subject matter experts to ensure the story is consistently told with clarity, consistency and impact.

Leading a diverse team of internal and external content creators, you will cultivate a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration, training and empowering fellow communicators across the company to tell Lilly’s story in a cohesive, impactful way.

Your role will also involve analyzing trends and monitoring content performance, allowing you to make adjustments that keep our strategies fresh and effective. Strong leadership and project management skills will be crucial as you prioritize multiple initiatives, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines. Your ability to build relationships will facilitate networking and collaboration with stakeholders, while your adaptability will ensure you stay ahead of industry trends, refining our communications tactics to enhance brand visibility.

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field10+ years of experience in communications or journalism3+ years of experience in a leadership role: leading a team and/or vendorsQualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Other Information:

This position will report to the Associate Vice President of Communications Activation.
