Job Description

COMPANY:                            Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.

LOCATION:                            300 Industry Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15275

TITLE:                                    Sr. Developer

HOURS:                                  Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES:                                 Design, architect, and build Oracle Fusion Middleware based on applications from business requirements through planning and deploying test and production systems.

                                                Develop, unit test, debug, and maintain integration based on functional requirements.

                                                Create high-level design of integration solutions and provide guidance to implementation teams on which components and patterns to use for design.

                                                Handle full life cycle development process including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support using Oracle Fusion Middleware.

                                                Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and enhance integrations using Oracle SOA, OIC and MuleSoft technology.

                                                Create, consume, and implement SOAP web services.

                                                Unit test and load test web services from EM console, SOAPUI, RESTClient.

                                                Create and validate schema and JMS message consumption.

                                                Author specifications in design document and develop integrations based on specifications from design document.

                                                Conduct performance monitoring and tuning of the platform and identify bottlenecks and bugs, as well as devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.

TRAVEL:                                Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.

REQUIREMENTS:                  Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, or related occupation. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, or related occupation as an equivalent alternative.

                                                Required knowledge or experience with:

                                                OFM BPEL, Oracle Integration Cloud, and Mulesoft Development;

                                                Oracle SOA suite 12v, BPEL, B2B, OSB, and OWSM;

                                                Web services, WSDL, REST, JSON, XML, XSD, and XSLT;

                                                XQuery, XPath, and Transformations;

                                                Define and configure JMS Queries and other adaptors; and

                                                Oracle SQL/PISQL.
