McLane is looking for a Sr Manager, Data Science to join our fast-paced Data CoE team As the Lead Data Scientist on the Data CoE team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of high impact projects related to supply chain, procurement and inventory management within Retail and Restaurant sector. The ideal candidate will be hands-on lead and grow a team of data scientists supporting the data science strategy and roadmap. This role has a meaningful impact on the overall business, requiring the candidate to operate with a high degree of autonomy and effectively communicating insights and plans to all levels of the organization.
This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Minimum Skills Qualifications:
MS or PhD in statistics, mathematics, analytics, computer science or another quantitative field AND 3 years of experience as a data scientist in Logistics or Retail.Or, 8 years of experience as a data scientist in eCommerce, Supply Chain or Logistics.Hands-on experience in building ranking and recommendation models in production environments.Experience applying descriptive statistics, machine learning, predictive modeling, and visualization techniques to solve challenging business problems.Expert knowledge in and ability to demonstrate hands on capabilities with the following:Statistical and machine learning techniques.Data Science libraries in a programming or scripting language Model deployment.Machine learning workflows.Proficient in:Python related ML libraries and frameworks (Ex: PyTorch).Proficient in SQL and working with large datasets.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and model development and deployment technologies (e.g., Databricks).Excellent communication and presentation skills (to both technical and business audiences).Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings to senior teams, and drive a data-driven culture within the organization.MS Azure or Fabric experience/knowledge a plus.Working Conditions:
