Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics! **Job Summary:** The Sr. Controller is a business partner to the General Manager and plans and directs all aspects of the organization's financial policies, target objectives and initiatives. The Sr. Controller is responsible for the attainment of short and long-term financial and operational goals and directs the development of the organization to ensure future growth. The Sr. Controller performs a variety of tasks and leads and directs the work of others and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This role is typical for sites >$300M. **Essential Functions:** + Lead financial teams to obtain goals and meet deadlines while managing continuous improvement initiatives + Supervise accounting personnel including cross training of key personnel in general ledger, cost accounting, accounts receivable, Capital planning and Financial Planning & Analysis responsibilities + Coordinate monthly closing with other departments and address comments and questions from the Executive Leadership team + Complete risk assessments for both property and product liability + Ensure Sarbanes Oxley controls and monthly certifications are up to date + Support and drive CBS initiatives across the site and own Value Stream Map for the Finance group + Coordinate and manage outside audits (Sales Tax, Research & Development (R&D) tax credit, State Tax, Property tax, Federal, City, internal audit) + Work with internal auditors to ensure compliance to Company policies and procedures + Perform cash flow review, analysis, and monthly financial forecasting + Perform monthly financial analysis including commentary and forecasting + Demonstrated understanding of KPIs and thoughtful root cause and corrective action evaluation + Any other task assigned by supervisor or management **Minimum Qualifications:** + Experience: 15+ years of direct experience in the field, including 5 years in a Controller role supervising staff of 10 or more. + Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures; Working knowledge of Oracle; standard accounting, budgeting and financial planning, Government accounting, Wire transfers and certain treasury functions, Make vs. Buy decisions and Tax accounting (Tax Depreciation, Sales and Operating Profit by geographical location and R&D tax credit) + Skills/Abilities: Expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite; Power BI, Ability to leverage business decisions and quickly assess financial impact; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication with internal staff; site general management and Corporate functional representatives + Education/Certification: BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting + **Eligibility Requirement:** This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
