The Sr. Communications Manager will be responsible for setting the strategy for and managing the execution of Microsoft’s enterprise and product storytelling. This will require good agency management skills. You should have a strong sense for news and how a story will play out in public across all mediums and platforms both traditional & social. This opportunity is for those who are passionate about tech, AI and the role it will play at the intersection of technology and society. You will work alongside team members who are responsible for specific products, commercial and consumer propositions, employee communications and more. You will be part of a team that is at the forefront of AI adoption and should be able to demonstrate a passion for the positive impact of technology and how to apply AI to your role as a communicator. You will need to be able to span across the entire company, managing and owning breaking reputational issues and opportunities but also driving proactive, high-profile, and agenda-setting results too. This will involve working closely with multiple internal stakeholders across south Asia Senior Leadership Team, various businesses and many more. Reporting to the Director of Communications Microsoft India South Asia, this role is part of the Global Communications Organization and operates in partnership with India South Asia leadership team.
**Responsibilities**
Comms strategy – engaging a range of stakeholders to create and execute a communications strategy aligned to global storytelling priorities and local business needs. Trust & Innovation storytelling – develop best in class storytelling that resonates with key audiences and strengthens trust in Microsoft as well brings to forefront our most impactful innovation led customer and product stories. Leadership in AI – reinforce Microsoft’s global narrative along with the local positioning and thought leadership to demonstrate Microsoft’s leadership in AI. Corporate reputation management: Act as a leader and trusted advisor within Microsoft by advancing and protecting the corporate image and reputation, identifying opportunities to positively shift the perception of the Microsoft brand, and correcting inaccuracies when they occur.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor’s Degree and 12 + years’ communications experience of working in both in-house, agency roles/ journalism background and experience of working with South Asia markets. Key Skillset A growth-mindset that enables creativity in thinking, analytical skills, an ability to deal with ambiguity, management of changing priorities, and consistency in partnering with and learning from others Excellent written and verbal communication and partnership skills across a diverse set of audiences and stakeholders Understanding and experience of working with the traditional and non- traditional media landscape, evolving creator landscape in India as well has experience in tech and B2B customer and enterprise space Self-directing and highly adaptable, track record of delivering high impact communications results that map to stakeholder needs Strong team player who is willing to contribute to the India and South Asia team and the wider community beyond their immediate remit Being a great listener so that feedback can be synthesized, shared and actioned with our Global Comms colleagues in a cooperative and insightful way Comfortable with piloting new ideas and approaches
