Abacus Technology is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer to provide technical support of cloud infrastructures for the US Mint.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities Design, configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain Amazon Elastic Bean (EC2), Simple Storage Services (S3), elastic block storage, cloud for cloud hosting, and future AWS offerings.Manage and support the development activities in Dev, QA and Production Cloud environments, to include Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platforms as a Service (PaaS), and provide support to complement Application Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and Development, Modernization, and Enhancement services.Provide technical support within the areas of vulnerability management, database management, performance capacity management and benchmarking.Create cloud instances, privileged and non-privileged accounts, and user access roles.Perform project management tasks such as creating project schedules, risks and issue management, creating test, cutover and migration plans.Create and/or contribute to the creation of required security documentation and create user documentation, incident response and continuous monitoring plans. Qualifications

15+ years experience with enterprise or large scale physical and virtual environments.  Bachelor's degree in a related field.  Must hold one of the following certifications: AWS Solutions Architect and/or AWS SysOps Administrator.  Experience delivering cloud-based architectures and applications.  Able to plan, design, and deploy cloud-based solutions and providing maintenance and support.  Must have knowledge of deploying web services, databases, and application servers/services in one or more cloud architectures (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS).  Must demonstrate experience providing user support for cloud solutions, and knowledge of securing cloud architectures.  Experience developing, implementing, and managing automated software source control in industry standard platforms.  Experience mentoring other cloud engineers and systems administrators/network engineers on cloud-based technologies.  Able to research and evaluate technology options for defined features.  Stay abreast of technical options to identify opportunities that can bring significant benefit to current and future platform development.  Able to see the big picture and foster an innovative, collaborative, and analytical work environment.  Must be a US citizen.
