Role Overview:

One of NYC's leading law firms is seeking a senior virtual desktop engineer to design, manage, and optimize its Citrix-based virtual desktop infrastructure. This role is a key member of the enterprise platforms group, responsible for both on-premises and cloud deployments, working closely with IT, security, and application teams to ensure scalability, security, and performance.

Required Skills & Experience Extensive experience managing and optimizing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), NetScaler (Citrix ADC), Machine Creation Services (MCS), and Provisioning Services (PVS) Strong background in user profile management and personalization tools such as UPM, Ivanti Workspace Control, and FSLogix Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, and PowerShell scripting for automation Experience with Citrix Cloud, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Nerdio for hybrid deployments Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Security-focused mindset, including experience with MFA, TLS, and compliance measures Preferred Skills Experience with Citrix App Layering and Workspace Environment Management (WEM) Familiarity with Citrix Director & Citrix Analytics for monitoring and performance optimization What You’ll Do: Tech Breakdown 50% Citrix architecture and virtual desktop management 30% cloud and infrastructure integration 20% security, automation, and optimization Daily Responsibilities 60% designing, managing, and optimizing Citrix environments 20% collaborating with IT, security, and application teams 20% automating processes, troubleshooting, and improving performance The Offer Base salary: $165,000 - $180,000 Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote) Competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and professional development opportunities
