Position Summary
This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by procuring raw materials, components, and services that are directly used in the manufacturing and production process. Ensuring the company's supply chain is efficient, cost-effective and able to meet production demands.
Essential Duties and Tasks

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to production, engineering, and quality assurance to understand sourcing needs, forecast demand, and plan purchasing activities accordingly.
· Generate and complete purchase orders for standard goods and services directly incorporated into the production process.
· Develop purchasing schedules to prevent excessive or insufficient inventory levels.
· Maintains productive relationships with vendors, monitoring supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and service.
· Coordinate with suppliers to arrange timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
· Registers and manages new vendors, assisting with setup and use of systems.
· Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders or quality concerns.
· Maintain accurate records of activities, contracts, and supplier information.
· Prepare and publish purchase history reports or any other reporting as required.
· Identify opportunities and provide recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement.
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
· Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
· 4-6 years' experience in a related field experience in a related field required.
· Must have prior buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong math and analytical skills.
· This position has no leadership duties.
· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook Email, and calendar.
· Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
· Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
· Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
· Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
