Alexa Americas organization is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) who can build end-to-end data pipelines, automate reporting and equip our business stakeholders with data driven actionable insights. A successful candidate will be an expert in SQL, ETL, data manipulation and be able to partner effectively across a diverse set of stakeholders including product managers, BIEs, data engineers and Alexa country leaders. The Sr. BIE will build the foundational data pipelines and data tables, analyze large data sets, prove and disprove hypothesis, automate solutions and build self-service dashboards and reports. This person consistently employs high judgment and makes data-driven decisions, leading by example and influencing the team to do the same.

Key job responsibilities
- Interface directly with stakeholders, gathering requirements and owning automated end-to-end reporting solutions.
- Develop complex queries for ad hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
- Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our analytical and business needs
- Design, implement, and support key datasets that provide structured and timely access to actionable business information addressing stakeholder needs.
- Proficiency with SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
- Perform end-to-end deep dive analyses to discover actionable insights for our business stakeholders.
- Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities; build solutions to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders
- Apply engineering excellence to reporting and analysis pipelines, automate and simplify self-service support for customers.
- Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.


About the team
Alexa Americas BI team owns and supports all data, analytical and reporting requests from CA, MX, BR, Spanish US and Rest of World Alexa Country teams. Americas BI works closely with business stakeholders across Alexa Americas org, Alexa central BI/DE teams, Alexa Domain BI teams, Device BI teams and other Alexa International regional BI teams.
