Lead analytical support for Shared Business Services, including conducting and delivering analyses, developing and delivery of ad hoc and regular reporting, and developing analytics and processes to support Shared Business Services’ strategies.

Main Ingredients of the Job

Analytics and Solution Development

Lead analyses for Shared Business Services and their partners to enhance goals of their programs.  This includes gathering and cleansing data, incorporating and interpreting mathematical analyses, and developing insights from analyses.

Partner with leadership on how best to problem solve for an approach and the data sets and methodology required. Synthesize analyses and develop clear communications to Shared Business Services and their business partners.  

Present analyses with limited oversight and supervision.

Serve as subject matter expert and thought leader for applicable analytics for assigned business matters.

Conduct complex root cause analysis on business problems, in partnership with leadership to identify insights that inform and drive key business decisions.   

Tools and Reports Development

Lead development of tools and reports for end users, including developing requirements, reviewing user stories, evaluating IT development progress, managing user acceptance testing, and training end users.

Train others on use of key tools and reports.

Serve as “power user” of custom and third party applications, advanced querying and complex data aggregations and analyses not supported by a single application.

Serve as subject matter expert of applicable tools, databases, and systems.

Engage with Business Intelligence Center of Excellence on best practices, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing on analytics and tools across the enterprise.

What You Bring to the Table
Education/Training:    

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Related Experience: 5+ years’ experience in statistical analysis, business analysis, data analysis, data reporting roles required. Experience in a call center operation preferred. Experience in food distribution, retail, or related industries with large datasets and transactional data preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

Proficiency in the following required: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; 

Data querying methodologies and languages; Tableau or related visual presentation/reporting tool; 

Cloud-based data warehouse environments (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift).

Knowledge of Open Source Technology (e.g. Python), MS Access a plus.

Strong cross-functional business acumen Excellent data manipulation and analysis skills

Ability to work independently and within a team; ability to build consensus and lead work streams

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly

Ability to influence change in complex organizations

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.

In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $90,000 - $135,000

In Connecticut, the expected compensation for this role is between $94,700 - $135,000

In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $80,300 - $135,000

In Maryland, the expected compensation for this role is between $85,100 - $135,000

In Minnesota, the expected compensation for this role is between $80,300 - $135,000

In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $94,700 - $135,000

In Rhode Island, the expected compensation for this role is between $85,100 - $135,000

In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $79,300 - $135,000
