As the Sr. Analyst – Trip Types, Vrbo you will spearhead strategies to drive growth in Vrbo’s short-term and long-term stay offerings. Your role will center on analyzing traveler behavior, market trends, and competitor dynamics to uncover opportunities and address market share gaps. What You'll Do:
Drive Insights for Trip Type Growth: Generate traveler, partner, market, and competitor insights to optimize growth in Vrbo's short-trips and long-trips stays segments.
Strategic Planning: Create detailed, data-driven plans and business cases to drive growth in both short and long stays, encompassing product innovations, marketing strategies, and supply acquisition initiatives.
Collaborative Approach: Partner with cross-functional teams, including analytics, product, marketing, and supply teams, to align on program objectives, tactics, and execution targets for 2025 and 2026.
Segment Execution: Drive progress and accountability across the functional areas to meet our short and long stay ambitions.
Communication & Influence: Create organized and compelling communication materials (e.g., reports, presentations, dashboards) to inform and influence key stakeholders.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and model data to produce actionable insights with clear recommendations, driving the development and execution of Vrbo’s trip type growth strategies.
Market Performance Analysis: Address market share underperformance by identifying gaps and opportunities to meet core travelers' needs for short- and long-trip stays; monitor market trends, competitive movements and macro factors to anticipate challenges and inform strategy adjustments.
Performance Measurement: Measure and assess market and business performance, and the effectiveness of implemented programs. Provide insights to enhance program efficiency and outcomes.
Explore Partnerships: Evaluate and lead discussions for new partnership opportunities, focusing on strategic alignment to support growth in short- and long-trip stays.
Who You Are:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience. Prior experience in data-driven strategy and cross-functional collaboration is a plus.
Strategic & Analytical Thinker: Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and translate complex analyses into clear, strategic plans.
Collaborative Leader: Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Customer-Centric: Deep understanding of traveler behavior and industry dynamics, with a focus on addressing unmet needs.
Growth-Oriented: Creative and innovative mindset with a "can do" attitude, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and growth.
Communication Proficiency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, and other data visualization tools is a plus.
The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $74,000.00 to $103,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $118,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
