**93623BR** **Job Title:** Sr. Accountant - Forsyth, MO **Department/Function:** Finance, Accounting, Audit **Job Description:** **Sr. Accountant** Salaried, exempt ADM Deerland Forsyth, MO **Position Summary:** Sr. Accountants at ADM Deerland have a solid understanding of accounting systems and processes and should be considered highly knowledgeable in assigned areas. The role of the Sr. Accountant is to provide department level support for general ledger, cost accounting, fixed assets, inventory, and other accounting functions and ensure department goals and objectives are achieved in alignment with ADM policies and procedures. This role will support the continued operation of the company’s manufacturing of the best available dietary supplements in the industry. Sr. Accountants have no direct supervisory responsibilities. **Responsibilities:** + Complete accounting work per US GAAP guidelines. + Accounting: + Manage and maintain accurate financial records. + Support the monthly financial close process. + Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany transactions. + Manage intercompany settlement process with other ADM entities. + Prepare various monthly financial close reports. + Track and resolve inventory issues. + Maintain fixed asset database and preparation of journal entries for additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation. + Coordinate annual fixed asset inventory. + Provide accounting guidance to the Forsyth Staff Accountant. + Assist with internal and external audits as needed. + Perform essential job duties of other accounting team members, if needed, in their absence. **Other:** + Complete online banking responsibilities including printing bank deposits and initiating wire payments for approval. + Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department. + Assist and support department initiatives and process improvements. + Generate reporting and analysis as required by management. + Support &/or participate in special projects and research as needed. + ADM Integration - Assist and support reporting and process changes as needed. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Required Skills:** + Effective communication skills, verbal and written, to communicate with internal and external customers. + Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, and other Microsoft Office Suite programs. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed. + The ability to adjust to changing work demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to take initiative to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines and to work in a team environment. + Dedication to learning and cultivating new skill sets. + Results driven, strong work ethic. **Education & Experience Requirements:** + A bachelor’s degree in business; accounting major preferred. + Advanced degree and/or certification would be a plus. + Five years accounting experience in multiple areas of accounting preferred – general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable. + Experience with an ERP accounting system. **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with qualitative and/or quantitative productivity. + Standard office safety regulations.
