Description We are seeking a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our team. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for important accounting tasks such as maintaining precise records, processing applications, and resolving inquiries. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and is based in Nashville, Tennessee, 37201, United States. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer credit applications • Maintain and manage comprehensive customer credit records • Address and resolve customer inquiries in a prompt and detail-oriented manner • Closely monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions • Record expense allocations, accruals, and month-end true-ups • Oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries • Perform balance sheet accounts review and reconciliation on a monthly basis • Gather, analyze, and input data to the general ledger system • Carry out bank reconciliations • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks • Employ AS400 in performing accounting functions • Conduct month-end close activities in an accurate and timely manner. Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a mandatory requirement for this position. • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is necessary. • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is an essential skill for this job. • A sound understanding of General Ledger management is required. • Proficiency in Journal Entries is a must-have skill for this role. • The candidate should have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Experience in Month End Close activities is a prerequisite for this job. • Familiarity with the AS400 system is a necessity for this position.
