Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry, located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for an array of duties ranging from generating financial reports, overseeing accounting transactions, managing treasury functions, to optimizing finance processes. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of daily accounting transactions such as Payment Invoices, Checks, Wires, Cash Receipts, Deposits, Bank Reconciliation, and Journal entries to the general ledger.
• Generate monthly and yearly financial statements, and compile GM reports.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks such as 3-way matching, aging payable & receivable analyses, debit & credit notes, and collections.
• Manage treasury functions inclusive of cash investments, credit cards, and fraud protection files.
• Maintain accountability over audit, statutory compliance, and taxes under various laws and regulations.
• Support capital investments for machinery, equipment, and building improvements as well as make, buy, and lease decisions.
• Oversee financial planning, internal controls, and risk analyses.
• Develop and evaluate Key Performance Indicators to optimize the finance processes.
• Manage SAP processes related to Finance, Accounting, and Controlling activities.
• Generate the annual report for group reporting purposes from US GaaP to German GaaP.
• Oversee job development credits and other government incentive programs.
• Optimize Finance processes regarding automation. Requirements • Proven experience in the Manufacturing industry is required.
• Must hold an Accountant role or similar for a minimum of 5 years.
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation tasks.
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Solid understanding of the General Ledger and its function in financial management.
• Experienced in preparing and adjusting Journal Entries as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Capable of managing Month End Close procedures and ensuring timely completion.
• Familiarity with the SAP software for accounting and business operations.
