Sr. Accountant
Description We are in search of a HYBRID Sr. Accountant to join our team based in SANTA FE, New Mexico. In this role, you will be tasked with various accounting responsibilities such as account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliations, and handling general ledger tasks. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating the smooth operation of our financial department. This position will allow you to take your career to the next level. Responsibilities: • Accurately performing account reconciliation tasks for customer accounts • Handling balance sheet reconciliations with attention to detail • Overseeing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data • Managing general ledger tasks to maintain accurate financial records • Recording journal entries as part of the month-end close procedures • Utilizing Microsoft Excel for financial data management and reporting • Ensuring accurate accrual accounting and preparation of journal entries • Coding invoices accurately to ensure proper financial record keeping • Preparing financial statements in accordance with accounting standards • Handling fixed asset accounting tasks to maintain accurate financial records • Reconciling financial data to ensure accuracy in financial statements • Handling broker deals and other financial transactions as necessary. Requirements • The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position as a Sr. Accountant. • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance • Desire to get CPA or already have your CPA • Proficiency in account reconciliation is a must. • Demonstrated experience in balance sheet reconciliation is required. • The candidate should be familiar with bank reconciliations. • Knowledge and understanding of general ledger operations is essential. • The applicant should be able to handle journal entries with accuracy and efficiency. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. • Experience in month-end close processes is mandatory. • The candidate should have a clear understanding of accruals and accrual accounting. • The ability to code invoices accurately is required. • The applicant should be capable of preparing financial statements and have experience in financial statement preparation. • A strong background in fixed asset accounting is necessary. • The candidate should be comfortable handling and analyzing financial data. • Experience in reconcilement processes is required. • The applicant should have experience with annual audited financial statements.
