Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the non-profit sector, based in New York. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be executing a range of tasks such as account adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries. Your role will also encompass handling Microsoft Excel and Financial Edge for various accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Oversee and perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy • Execute balance sheet reconciliations for maintaining financial integrity • Manage general ledger entries and adjustments • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions • Utilize Microsoft Excel for managing and organizing financial data • Carry out month-end close procedures to finalize monthly accounts • Handle adjusting journal entries for accurate financial records • Employ Financial Edge for various accounting functions • Ensure accuracy and completeness of journal entries • Monitor and adjust customer account records as needed.
