Description and Requirements

About Our Team 

We are hiring a Sr Thermal System Architect to work in Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP). CSP is a fast-paced customer -centric organization that adapts to changing market demands to serve customer needs. This individual will advise on current and future thermal design trends and develop thermal solutions for rack mounted server, GPU, and storage platforms.


Location: Can be remote, preference is Morrisville, NC


What You'll Do

• Understand current and future thermal design technologies and trends

• Model the thermal solution of new concepts and designs in Flowtherm for server, GPU and storage platforms

• Develop thermal specifications for suppliers

• Work with suppliers and Lenovo development team on the execution/development of thermal designs

• Interlock with Lenovo Global Supply chain to optimize design cost

• Provide on-going advice & consult with Lenovo development team on technical issue resolution


Basic Qualifications

• 12+ years of thermal design experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Must have platform (system-level) experience

• Experience with Server/Storage Systems and their components

• Experience with Flotherm is required and the use of thermal design tools including PTC Creo, Pro/E, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree

• Liquid cooling experience

• Experience working with global cross-functional teams

• Fluent in using Microsoft Office applications (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

The base salary range for this position is $170K - $218K.  Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
