Sr Technical Project Manager- New Glenn

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of the New Glenn Program Office, you will work at the intersection of program management, engineering, supply chain, and production organizations, improving team effectiveness and coordination. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to drive strategic initiatives and effective change processes. As the primary point of contact for the New Glenn leadership team, you must enjoy a collaborative work environment, solving communication and business process challenges, and storytelling with data.

This is a high-visibility assignment that requires attention to detail, highly developed communication skills, execution with urgency, and the ability to work under minimal direction.

Responsibilities:

Drive decisive action by identifying critical decisions required to progress the program and facilitate decision-making at the program level to ensure alignment and timely execution.Implement structured change management processes to adapt to evolving project requirement, efficiently process changes, and ensure changes are communicated effectively across the team.Assist in the verification processes required for government certification of the New Glenn launch system and ensure all documentation and processes meet regulatory standards and requirement.Strategically drive innovation around tracking and measuring execution performance of development programs.Collaborate with stakeholders to define key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements to form the baseline program plan for the next generation launch vehicle for New Glenn.Integrate cross-functional, cross-organizational, and geographically separated groups to work towards a single plan in a cohesive manger, fostering collaboration and ensuring all teams are aligned with the program objectives and timelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering or an equivalent technical field.9+ years’ experience in design, development, integration, or testing – preferably with aerospace hardware or complex technical systems – and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management.High attention to detail and strong organizational / coordination skills.Demonstrated ability in building trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in development of launch vehicles.Experience with human spaceflight or high-performance aircraft systems.Experience with Primavera (P6), DOORS, CREO, Windchill.Experience with data analytics.Working familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Tableau.Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle.
 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $140,959.00-$197,342.25
