Senior Technical Lead, Software Development

General Purpose of the Job

The Sr Technical Lead (TL) is an expert who provides technical leadership in the design, development and delivery of technology-enabled software, applications, products, and services. The position is responsible for providing technical leadership for implementation of data integration projects to ensure that solutions align with the customer’s functional and non-functional requirements as well as with best practices, architecture guidelines, and security and compliance regulations.


The Sr. Technical Lead (TL) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day software development aspects along with the Manager.  They are required to learn the full duties of the Development team they support and will be expected to work alongside them. They will also liaise with the PMO, Architecture, QA, and Product Management teams. The Sr. TL must be able to drive Development components of Agile scrum teams and clear obstacles by collaborating with other teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Development oversight and standards adherence: provide Technical guidance and mentoring to Developers, Sr. Developers, and Technical Leads

Systems development and support. Create Design & Technical Specs from Business requirement specifications

Design and implementation of applications, data integrations, and technology solutions

Project planning and estimation. Collaborate with the Project Manager, Product Manager, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, Quality Analysts, Configuration Manager, and others to ensure delivery of the project

Best practices design and development. Lead and participate in code reviews, collaborate with fellow developers and Architects

Education and Experience

8 - 10 years' experience as a Software Technical LeadBachelor's Degree Required

Specialized Experience, Education, Training, or Qualifications

Previous experience as Technical Lead/Architect

Min. 5yrs experience working in a matrix organization

Excellent communication skills

2 - 4 years' experience in a healthcare environment

3 - 5 years' experience experience with Agile Development Methodology (leading scrum teams, PI planning)

High level of expertise in any (one or more) of the following:

C#, .NET platformASP.NET, JscriptMVC, MVVMiOS Programming/Mobile DevelopmentOracle/SQL Server/DB2ETL, ELT, CDC, pub/sub, event/driven data integrationsData modeling – 3NF, Vault, Dimensional, Data Lake, Data Vault, Key-Value, XML, CSV, DDL/DML, JSONDevOps methodology and technologies – Jenkins, BItBucket/Git, Artifactory

Salary/ Wage Range

$110,100.00 - $161,700.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
