Sr Staff Accountant

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our client's team. This critical role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and experience in manufacturing. Work model: 100% onsite (no option for remote)

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and reconcile financial statements and reports, including balance sheet and income statement accounts. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Reconcile bank accounts and code credit card statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation. Support AR, AP, and payroll functions. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience (8 years preferred). At least 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated history of career advancement and increasing responsibilities in accounting. Experience with inventory analysis and cost accounting preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems. Intermediate to expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
