Sr Project Analyst (Special Ops)

This position is located in Temple, TX, therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to the McLane Home Office.

The Special Operations Sr Project Analyst drives projects and financial analysis from start to finish by managing timelines, managing information flow, providing data analysis, and contributing to overall strategy. Provide in-depth understanding of business strategy, challenges, services and project roadmaps.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on- time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing relationships.Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results.Support ongoing analysis of complex financial models that lead to decision-making. Perform sensitivity analysis and assess the impact of different financial variables on the organization's financial performance.Collaborate with various operational departments to run and maintain tools utilizing proforma, forecasts, budgets, actualized performance, and market data to support business decision making and financial models.Provide support and input in developing ad-hoc financial analysis and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with teammates to evaluate cost optimization initiatives and other business opportunities.Focus on managing project flow, design, ensuring projects meet the short and long-term business objectives. Suggest improvement modifications as necessary.Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive).Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.Five or more years of experience in business, accounting, or financial analysis.Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to jump in and quickly learn and understand a project from both high-level and detailed-level views.Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting with the ability to effectively communicate results.Must be a self-starter with the ability to set goals and define milestones.Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to multitask.Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.Organized, efficient, and attentive to details.
