The Sr. Product Manager will provide leadership and execution of our portfolio of storage plates, storage seals, and immunoassay plates and modules within the Laboratory Plastic Essentials (LPE) business unit They will be responsible for the development of product strategy, product definition, positioning, and product lifecycle management. Our Product Managers own their portfolio by collaborating with all business functions to ensure their products meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
A Day in the Life
Develop and lead long-term (3+ years) product line strategies, business plans, and product roadmapsProvide input to business unit annual strategic plan development including STRAP and AOPResponsible for revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and market share objectivesHandle global supply and demand; updating demand forecasts regularly.Collaborate with external and internal partners to develop application-based solutionsOwn the ultimate customer and financial success of new product introductions (NPIs)Analyze market trends, gather and translate customer requirements through VOC into competitive products/strategies, and find opportunities to grow customer and business value through product positioning and differentiation.Maintain close relationships with commercial organization by developing trainings and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits, participating with pricing tactics, customer support, and supply agreement negotiations.Work effectively in global setting across different geographies and time zonesKeys to Success
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, marketing or business management.Master+ in Life Sciences or MBA preferred.Experience
8+ years of work experience; 6+ years of product management experience managing a diverse product portfolio.Prior experience in product management of consumables used in storage or immunoassay workflows preferred.Experience in developing and implementing a long-range product roadmap (3-5 years) that includes the development of new products and optimization of the current portfolioKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with financial modeling and data analysis skills.Proven project management and organizational skills.Strong ability to prioritize effectively.Track record of presenting information to multiple audiences, including scientists, engineers, executives, and non-scientific personnel.Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present to all levels of an organization internally and externallyAbility to think strategically by using insights & data to build a vision on a long-term planCustomer-centric and keenly aware of markets, trends and competitorsAbility to think critically to overcome potential business hurdles to complete tasksProven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams to success in challenging and ambiguous situations. Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $143,000.00–$190,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
