Responsibilities:
• Develop customer product from first system concept through quote, prototyping, validation and towards a fully released product in mass production
• Ensure proactive requirements and risk management for all technical aspects
• Ensure that customer specifications as well as cost targets, design-to-manufacture and timing goals are met
• Knowledge about and compliance to the customer specific requirements
• Seek for and achieve customers’ buy in to utilize standardized development and validation testing, if and where useful and applicable
• Act as technical liaison between product development teams and the customer and all other internal functions like design, manufacturing and industrialization
• Supervise product testing including handling of hazardous substances, interpretation of test results, introduction of the necessary actions and modifications as required to ensure that all requirements are met
• Support flawless launches by planning and controlling all technical issues related to assigned project and support the Program Manager in delivering highest quality solutions to our customers
• Provide product engineering expertise in a professional manner during customer visits and audits, with the team as well as in collaboration with other departments (e.g. manufacturing)

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electronical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable education
Strong years of experience in the automotive industry
Blow molding product design knowledge including welding and assembly is a strong plus
Demonstrate a solid knowledges in Product design, Engineering Systems, DFMEA, CAD / CAE Simulation, Materials Components (Plastics, rubbers and metals), GDT, D/FMA, Quality Process tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, …), Problem Solving skills (A3) and Product Testing knowledge to interpret result and take corresponding actions.
Must be able of supporting and promoting initiative for accelerating the digitalization and executing sustainable business models.
Team building skills; being able of leading local and global teams, being them, internal, in the customer and in the suppliers.
Manages conflict, action oriented, priority settings, courage, being resilient.
Portuguese and English Fluent is required
