Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering District is seeking a Senior OCS Engineer for a part-time opportunity. This position requires an experienced candidate who can work in a multi-discipline project environment and communicate effectively with internal and external clients, sub-consultants, and suppliers to successfully support the successful delivery of complex U.S. rail electrification projects.
District OverviewKiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. LocationThis position offers the flexibility to work remotely from home. However, the engineer will need to travel as required by business needs.
Responsibilities Plans and manage the technical aspects of highly complex rail electrification projects to ensure the delivery of cost-effective product that meet client technical requirements. This includes scope definition, design development, cost estimation, engineering support services during construction, safety certification and system integration support services, project closeout, etc. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for an integrated design and construction process leveraging industrial best practices and lessons leant. Develop OCS design packages for rail and transit systems. Train and Develop junior staffs in applying SOPs in projects. Conducts studies and analyses of new technologies, equipment, and methods to develop more efficient engineering alternatives and present them to internal and external clients. Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the entire organization for successful project delivery. This includes, but not limited to, peer review, develop technical white paper, site visiting and troubleshooting, attend technical meetings, factory and field test witness, etc. Any other technical and project management responsibilities assigned by supervisor or management team.Qualifications A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is necessary. 18-25 years of OCS design and Traction Electrification System design and construction experience on U.S. light rail project is required. OCS design experience on large design build project is highly desirable Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills Strong leadership skills in manage and mentor technical staffs working toward a common goal. Ability to develop junior staffs in both technical and project management skills. Professional engineering license in United States is preferred.

Base Compensation: $148,000 - $156,000
