Sr NPI Product Manager

Position\nOverview:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a growth-minded\nproduct/offering manager to join our team and accelerate new product\ndevelopment, with a focus on driving new business growth and New Product\nIntroductions (NPI) initiatives for our Building Automation business in India. In this role, you will be responsible for\ndriving the successful launch of new products and features, from concept to\nmarket delivery.

Travel/Territory: India with travel 15-20% of the time
Ideal\nCandidate Experience:

10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on leading NPI initiatives. At least 5 years of progressive experience in developing & marketing new offerings preferably with building automation product/technology companiesConducting market research & market mapping with white space analysisSizing market with TAM, SAM, SOD estimations & building business casesEngaging with key customers, industry, and ecosystem partners to understand market needs, and developing partnerships for co-innovation, co-development, and/or co-marketingIdeating with customers & technology teams that resulted in building credible product roadmaps and delivering business growthCollaborating cross-functionally in a matrix environment to drive business decisions and program execution

Key\nResponsibilities:

The key deliverable for this role is to build/sustain an India-led\nproduct portfolio with a special focus on new offerings across the building\nautomation vertical (BMS, Fire, Security, Access, Wiring Devices). Doing this\nsuccessfully requires a techno-commercial mindset, the ability to identify\nsectors of opportunity, interface with customers at senior & executive\nlevels, and translate critical market needs into new products & solutions.\nIn this role, you will own delivery of current year annual operating plan for\nyour portfolio as well as delivery of an NPI roadmap for the 3-year strategic\nplanning period.

Map the market & Identify opportunities: Identify and\nprioritize focus areas by understanding emerging market & technology\ntrends, and customer needs, to recommend which growth opportunities must be\npicked up for development.

Drive & Manage the idea pipeline: Work jointly with engineering, sales, offer marketing\nteams and co-create with customers to ensure a healthy pipeline of NPI ideas to\nbe converted into new products driving organic growth. Work closely with R&D and innovation\nteams to develop and test new product concepts.

Understand customer needs: Build relationships that will help Honeywell\ngrow its presence in the Indian market. Engage with top 3-5 potential\ncustomers/players to gather critical problem statements & needs, and\nidentify opportunities to differentiate with new Honeywell products &\nsolutions.
Develop business cases: For each new product/solution idea, size the market opportunity, define\ncustomer segmentation & willingness to pay value-based prices, and\ndetermine competitive landscape. Use data to assess business viability and\ncreate compelling, high-value business cases.

Define value propositions & product roadmaps: Create offering\nroadmaps by defining minimum viable offerings by prioritizing customer needs\nand translating them into actionable product requirements that deliver\nquantifiable customer value. Lead the\ndevelopment of product roadmaps for NPI initiatives, outlining key milestones,\nfeatures, and enhancements to be delivered over time. Prioritize initiatives\nbased on market trends, customer needs, and business priorities.
Own the end-to-end offering portfolio: Build & drive portfolio across the\noffering lifecycle from ideation to innovation and execution to\ncommercialization/first revenue, owning the market success of new\nofferings. 

Collaborate cross-functionally: Engage with local and global stakeholders for business alignment, and\nwith cross-functional teams at every stage of the development, execution &\ncommercialization process. Lead and\ncollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development,\nengineering, design, marketing, and sales, to drive NPI initiatives forward. This is a\nhigh-visibility role within the E4E team and will also involve managing pitches\n& reviews with senior leadership in India and globally.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and\nmaintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives,\ncustomers, partners, and industry influencers. Serve as the primary point of\ncontact for NPI-related matters and ensure stakeholders are informed and\nengaged.

Performance\nMonitoring and Optimization: Monitor\nkey performance metrics for NPI initiatives, including revenue, market share,\nand customer satisfaction. Analyze performance data to identify areas for\nimprovement and drive continuous optimization.

 

 

YOU MUST\nHAVE:

Minimum of 10 years of expertise in bringing new products to market, and managing a portfolio of products, projects, and investments. Experience in solution consulting and product engineering are also valuable.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceProduct and domain expertise in Buildings or Industrial market segmentsStrong customer focus and bias for market-backed thinkingImpact/Results orientation Ownership mindsetAbility to communicate effectively and influence cross-functional and cross-business teams, facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflict among stakeholdersAbility to travel 15-20% of the time domestically and/or internationally
