Sr Marketing Specialist - New Financial Advisors

      

Individual contributor role aligned to a geographical area that is responsible for providing marketing support to new financial advisors. This role serves as a primary marketing contact, providing overall marketing guidance and training to new financial advisors on marketing plans, strategies, tactics, and tools to grow their business and serve their clients.

This role will partner closely with Area Vice Presidents, Market Directors, Market Developers, and Engagement Leaders to identify opportunities and priorities – and provide strategic marketing direction. The Sr. Marketing Specialist serves as a liaison between the corporate marketing team and the sales force, providing financial advisor and field leader perspective to marketing initiatives, requiring a deep knowledge of all the marketing strategies and tactics being driven out of the centralized marketing team.

         

          

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develops trusted relationships with new financial advisors and key internal/external stakeholders to contribute to their ability to grow and sustain successful practices.

Collaborates with field partners and Center of Excellence (COE) functions in the local market including Area Vice Presidents, Market Directors, Market Developers, Engagement Leaders, Launch Specialists, and other field-assigned COE team members to drive success for our new financial advisors and field leaders.

Understands needs of the financial advisor, how they make money and serve clients and how the business works, supporting their goals by providing advice and recommendations for marketing strategy and solutions.

Leverages market data and analytics to influence success of marketing programs/initiatives and to continuously improve upon marketing results. Gathers field, member and stakeholder feedback to ensure alignment and to optimize effectiveness. Continues to build marketing intelligence through external and internal data sources.

Leads one-to-many trainings with new financial advisors to help them strengthen their marketing plan and increase their understanding of marketing tools, especially digital capabilities such as websites and social media.

Contributes to the development of marketing strategies that support the organizational brand and Go-To-Market strategies; responsible for development of actionable tactics that support brand recognition and affinity, productivity, and new member growth.

Continuously seeks ways to leverage technology to drive more effective and impactful marketing strategies and tactics and to help drive corporate CRM and event management strategies.

Supports recruitment marketing efforts of Market Directors by helping them improve their digital presence and coaching them on marketing strategies, tools, and programs for recruiting financial advisor candidates.

Required Job Qualifications

5 + years marketing or related experienceCollege degree in marketing or related field; masters a plus but not required.Broad knowledge of marketing channels and strategies used to grow a business.Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills with a client-first mindset.Experience facilitating or presenting group trainings or workshops.Ability to influence, coach, and guide staff and management at all levels within an organization.Ability to work independently and effectively to manage multiple projects simultaneously in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid change. Applies a development mindset that uses creativity and marketing expertise to develop new, more effective and more efficient marketing approaches.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $83,934.00 - $113,559.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
