THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE The Senior Manager of Operations Development and Initiatives plays a critical role in supporting the operations, growth, and expansion of Ulta Beauty at Target. This person will partner cross-functionally to drive a seamless, impactful in-store experience, focusing on operational routines, guest experience, training, education and communication. This person will collaborate with both internal and external teams to evaluate business performance, identify key priorities, and execute joint strategic operations initiatives that align with our partnership goals. Your efforts will help store teams deliver on the partnership agreement and represent the Ulta Beauty brand with excellence. Additionally, this person will partner closely with the Senior Strategic Business Planning Manager to ensure that project plans and timelines reflect evolving partnership priorities. This role demands a seasoned leader with a strong understanding of both the retail environment and corporate operations. Success in this role will be driven by the ability to influence and collaborate effectively, rather than relying on authority. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: Manage the development and execution of operational initiatives that enhance the in-store experience for both guests and team members. Collaborate with internal and external partners to assess business performance, identify opportunities, and implement strategies that meet partnership goals. Ensure alignment of operational routines, training programs, and communication with overall business objectives. Partner with the Senior Strategic Business Planning Manager to track project progress and adjust plans based on current priorities. Serve as a trusted leader who facilitates cross-functional collaboration and drives results through influence and partnership. Qualifications: Strong leadership experience in a retail environment, with a deep understanding of both store-level and corporate operations. Proven ability to drive success through collaboration, influence, and relationship-building. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term objectives with immediate business needs. Experience in managing cross-functional projects and executing operational improvements. ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: At least 5 years of relevant work experience in retail operations (both store and corporate). Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial data to support decision-making. Analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify opportunities. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to share ideas and information across diverse audiences to drive business decisions. Highly collaborative with proven ability to build relationships. History of leading direct and indirect teams and influencing without authority to achieve results. Ability to remain calm under pressure and apply good judgement in ambiguous situations. Track record of leading and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously while remaining agile. SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed. Travel requirements – up to 5% including overnight stays. WORKING CONDITIONS: 6 days per month in-office in Bolingbrook, IL or Chicago, IL #LI-JR #LI-Hybrid The pay range for this position is $100,900.00 - $150,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
