Sr, Commodity Manager – Information Technology

Your Role on Our Team:
You will create, communicate and drive global procurement category strategy across Information Technology functional areas including, IT Hardware, Software, and Technology Professional Services. To be successful, you will need to be a motivated, self-starter and comfortable working in a fast paced, extremely flexible/responsive, team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills is a must with ability to effectively communicate up and down, spanning multiple business units, functional organizations and supplier partners to build strong cross functional coalitions and working relationships. Educate and ensure all Procurement activities are understood, supported and aligned with stakeholders.
You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and direction for Information Technology Procurement activities to manage category spend to drive to most competitive market prices
• Deliver best cost position strategy by negotiating progressively favorable terms (discounts and payment terms) and realize 5% annual cost improvement goals, including volume growth rebates and currency savings with all category supplier partners
• Collaborate with global Information Technology leadership to drive strategy and consistency to leverage spending power
• Lead contract negotiations with supplier partners and ensure contracts with suppliers and vendors are consistent with corporate objectives
• Maintain procurement dashboard metrics and manage category performance to the metrics
• Oversee supplier partner relationships to ensure smooth and mutual business connections. Help to resolve supplier performance issues as directed
• Create supplier partner sourcing strategies, communicate and execute them in partnership with the Information Technology leadership team to support company objectives
• Develop and direct procurement category strategies that mitigate risk, generate savings and drive supplier and product performance
• Manage procurement process and oversee category Procure-to-pay function
• Communicate procurement processes and strategies to executive team to promote stakeholder alignment
• Act as Procurement liaison to all Information Technology functions across the organization
This individual will be a motivated, self-starter working in a fast paced, extremely flexible/responsive, team-oriented, collaborative environment, and will be interacting with multiple business units, functional organizations and supplier partners building strong cross functional coalitions and working relationships to ensure all INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Procurement activities are understood, supported and aligned with stakeholders
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technical field or business administration; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience within Information Technology Procurement. Proven experience creating, communicating, and executing cross functional strategies that align with and support stakeholder needs
• Hold current travel documents and a willingness to travel internationally
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and developing strategy in a true greenfield space is a plus.
• Working knowledge of business law and creation/negotiating legal contracts, including multi-year supplier agreements
• Excellent negotiating skills; High level of analytical skills
• Results driven and deadline orientated. Ability to manage multiple activities and projects to aggressive schedules and results
• Strategic thought leadership; Out-of-box creativity
• Ability to develop and nurture productive business relationships, and influence and educate internal and external customers
