The Role:
As an ADAS DRIVE Sr Manager you are directly responsible for formulating business strategies for the organization you are part of. You will lead other managers and provide clear strategy and direction to those on your team. You will drive development of policies and processes within the area you manage, ensuring best practices are identified, assessed, and integrated as appropriate.
The teams you manage will be end-to-end responsible for our ADAS Features. You will own the FTS requirements through final software calibration and validation of our programs to meet those requirements.
What You'll Do:
Ensures teams managed have on-time delivery of requirements to SW teams
Ensures teams managed have on-time completion of calibration and validation activities.
Ensures owned features comply with regional regulations
Provides technical mentoring and guidance
Manages, tracks and prioritizes team workload
Mentor and develop the individuals and managers on the team
Lead change – driving efficiency into all aspects of our development process.
Must build excellent relationship with stakeholders internal and external to ADAS. This role manages many dependencies with other organizations
Collaborate across teams to develop a comprehensive virtualization strategy
Work reciprocally with Global and/or GMNA partners in execution of program deliverables
Supports lessons learned through updating Best Practices and learning sessions.
Builds and manages large teams, often teams of teams, with the optimal mix of talent and experience.
Makes internal and external staffing decisions, supports, and guides individual development of direct reports and their teams, drives performance. Champions large-scale change management and role models GM’s behaviors necessary to maintain a productive team without inhibiting individuality and personal diversity.
Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other degree with relevant experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in key areas such as System Engineering, SW Development, Calibration and Validation
Knowledge of embedded controls as it pertains to vehicle development
Understanding of Systems Engineering principles
Understanding of the Global Vehicle Development Process
Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communications (oral & written) skills
Strongly skilled in Project Planning.
DFSS Black Belt
