In this newly created role of Senior Manager, Strategic Market Development for Global Services and Support (GSS), you will have the unique opportunity to establish a new team dedicated to implementing innovative growth initiatives through channel development and adjacent market expansion. Primary responsibilities will involve crafting and operationalizing the new application solution portfolio and developing the key account management selling channel to achieve market penetration and revenue objectives.

We are in search of a candidate who demonstrates outstanding leadership and influencing skills. They should have the ability to identify key insights, lead planning and execution, and contribute to decision-making across the organization.

A day in the life

Set the strategic vision for the application solutions portfolio, including multi-year product roadmap.Use data to drive decision-making, quantify the opportunity and build forecasts in partnership with Finance, Product Management, Commercial and Regional Teams.Create market positioning that elevate brand awareness and establish solutions as the preferred choice for our customers.Regularly report performance to key leaders and build improvement plans as needed.Partner across functions and businesses to develop and implement GTM plans, including capabilities.Lead market research initiatives to uncover unmet needs and translate into actionable plans.Responsible for channel development plan through the direct report structure.

Keys to success

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in life science, marketing, or a related field

Experience

10+ years proven history and experience in marketing, strategy and or market development within the life sciences industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proven track record of process improvement with deep experience using problem-solving frameworks.Passionate customer advocate, with a demonstrated curiosity for market trends and customer behaviors.Strong collaboration and ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization and influence across functional teams and geographies.Ability to think critically while being open to continuous learning and adjusting to uncertain and evolving situations.Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
