General Summary
The Customer Development Manager is a key part of the Sales Strategy team, acting as the key liaison between customer sales teams and various internal functions (Brand, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) as well as delivering key business objectives. This role supports the Simple Meals business for Channels which includes Dollar General, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target and Convenience amongst other scaled customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with the Customer Sales Lead, Sales Finance, Shopper Insights, Category Strategy, and Category Management to identify and execute against initiatives to achieve sales objectives
Work with Trade & Promotional Planning Lead to co-develop customer / channel specific Gross Sales, Net Sales, and Trade Annual Operating Plan targets
Work with Trade & Promotional Planning Lead and Customer Sales Leads to develop and optimize promotional support plans within guardrails and with maximum return on investment
Work with Category Management & Customer Sales Leads to develop optimize assortment based on national item priorities (set by Category Strategy)
Owns communication of customer forecast and business drivers to internal functions related to Demand Planning and S&OP
Identify risks and opportunities and solutions balancing both customer needs and business needs
Ad hoc business analysis

Develop and maintain productive working relationship with Sales Strategy teammates (Category Strategy, Trade & Promotional Planning), other sales functions (Category Management, Sales Finance, Customer Sales), and cross-functional (Brand, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.)
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum 8+ years CPG sales experience required; previous experience should include some or all of the following:
Customer Sales / Customer Management
Category Management
Category Strategy
Revenue Management
Trade Marketing / Trade & Promotional Planning

Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$105,000-$172,200Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
