Job DescriptionThe Sr. Manager of PPI Business Systems implements Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Continuous Improvement Business System, PPI. You work with business leadership to establish and mature the PPI Business System and other Lean tools for cultural transformation.
This position will be site-based in Waltham, MA, and will have a travel expectation of 20%.
Job ResponsibilitiesEnhance processes with functional teams to improve customer experience and foster an action-oriented culture. Focus on critical metrics in customer, finance, people, and quality.Support design and implementation of Transformation program and deliver identification and prioritization of activities impacting processes at world class levelsDrive impactful results directly linked to leader's key performance indicators beyond simple problems and projectsImprove the decision-making model and problem-solving capabilities within teams to increase autonomy and the pace of changeCoach, mentor and partner with senior leadership teams and customers on driving the culture, approach, expertise, capabilities, and behavioral change with improvementConnect with controls and compliance to craft & implement master data governance across end-to-end processPartner with Global Process Owners on enabling technologies and the Technology Roadmap, ensuring priorities are achievedKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesPassion for driving improvement and leading change in a matrixed, global environmentStrong social skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence leadership and all levels of the organizationExtensive experience and a ‘hands-on’ track record of implementing successful year-over-year results using metric-based methods and TPS-based business systems including elements such as:Extensive use of Value Stream Mapping and execution of Value Stream managementConsiderable experience utilising and implementing process and task miningLean Leadership (Daily Management, LSW, and Gemba with a purpose)
1. Strategy Deployment, gap planning, execution, governance processesEfficient with standard work, value-stream mapping, cell design, process and product 3P and error-proofing
