This position is responsible for leading  third party risk assessment and security consulting activities to assess the design, effectiveness and efficiency of the IT controls and compliance with laws and regulations.

 

If you are able to come to Eden Prairie Office several days/week, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Assists with the development and execution of Information Risk Governance department operations, methodology, technologies and tools. Helps drive continuous improvement efforts in alignment with direction provided by leadership and industry standards Oversee the implementation of technology systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure, and aligning new solutions with business objectives Conduct reviews of supplier security exhibits to ensure company standards and regulatory requirements are met. Clearly communicate expectations and requirements, ensuring alignment between parties Responsible for strategic oversight, coordination, and execution to ensure successful project outcomes and alignment with organizational goals Manage the execution of risk assessment delivery across a large global organization within the Enterprise. Oversee escalations with a focus on urgency and priority ensuring timely and effective resolution Lead special projects aimed at enhancing overall team efficiencies and optimizing operational process Serve as a segment lead for one of UnitedHealth Group's core businesses, providing strategic direction and leadership to drive business performance and achieve key objectives Provides staff with professional and technical expertise and guidance to ensure that project objectives and scope are satisfied. This includes assisting staff members and contractors in the development and negotiation of recommendations and responses, evaluating the performance of the team, and providing guidance regarding department and company policies and procedures Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products and/or approaches to meet business needs and address IT security concerns

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology/cyber security or related field 6+ years of relevant business experience, including internal audit or IT experience Proficient understanding of IT security and internal control concepts and how to apply them Ability to work in Eden Prairie several days a week

 
Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant IT certification(s) (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIPT, CSFP, ISA, CIA, etc.)  2+ years of experience in health insurance systems 2+ years of experience working in a complex IT environment 2+ years of experience working in third party risk management 2+ years of experience with security exhibits and contract negotiations NIST, ISO, PCI, HIPPA, HITRUST, SSAE18, SOX 404 experience

 

Soft Skills: 

Must demonstrate solid interpersonal communication Must demonstrate solid oral and written communication skills and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and individuals simultaneously
