Primary Responsibility:
Support the preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K’s, etc.), internal management reporting and financial results analyses. Perform technical research to ensure financial statements and disclosures are in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Process internal and external audit requests.

What you’ll Do

Support the preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K’s, etc.) and internal management reporting. Perform technical research to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Prepare monthly reporting packages, including financial statements and variance analysis. Prepare external financial statements and footnote disclosures. Maintain share-based compensation activity reports and disclosures. Perform quarterly earnings per share calculations and support annual goodwill impairment testing. Assist with the preparation of quarterly MD&A and related non-GAAP disclosures. Liaise with investor relations for earnings releases and calls. Optimize the use of Workiva for financial reporting and assist with other SEC filings. Identify efficiencies and improvements in reporting processes. Ensure adherence to SOX controls and perform technical accounting research. Assist internal and external auditors and support IT with new accounting solutions.

What Experience and Education You Need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, plus 2-4 years of financial reporting experience; CPA preferred; Big 4 audit experience with public company clients preferred. Thorough understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. SOX compliance experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software systems; Oracle experience preferred. Experience with Workiva and accounting research tools (CCH or Checkpoint Learning). REIT experience is a plus
