Key job responsibilities - Building new/improving existing accounting processes to ensure data integrity and efficient analyses - Providing financial analysis to prioritize and lead cost reduction efforts (including Kaizen/LEAN reduction efforts) - Providing analytical support for staffing optimization initiatives - Sourcing, analyzing, and reporting quantitative data; perform ad hoc analyses - Analyzing trends, formulating projections, and evaluating savings initiatives - Developing monthly/quarterly financial reporting (actual and forecast) and annual budgeting - Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends - Educating, communicating, and partnering with local leadership A day in the life To be Successful, you will have to: - Show ability to quickly build credibility and trust with internal customers - Demonstrate work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations - Perform financial analysis and financial modeling - Convince management of right decisions based on proven analysis and clear communications - Work with functional leaders and other finance functions to build scalable financial processes and metrics Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) Preferred Qualifications - 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Knowledge of Tableau - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
