As a Senior External Communications Specialist here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for shaping and executing the organization's external communication strategy. Your role will involve developing and delivering effective messaging to external audiences, including media, customers, partners, and stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing Honeywell's reputation, brand image, and public relations.
You will report directly to our Director of External Communications, and you'll work out of our Charlotte, North Carolina location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, support its global Building Automation business segment, based in Charlotte. This individual will be a key part of an external communications team that is responsible for driving top-tier and trade media coverage in support of new product introductions, key initiatives, customer wins and integrated marketing communication campaigns.
We seek a candidate with a proven track record of delivering positive, top-tier and trade press news coverage, and who can also work within the business to align external communications to business goals. We need a writer who can simplify complex language and act as a reporter on staff to help cut through the jargon and find the story. This person has to understand how journalists operate and speak their language, while also thinking ahead to what they will need.

MUST HAVE
\n\nMinimum five years of journalism, agency or corporate communications experience developing, implementing, and measuring communications plans and programs. \n\nWE VALUE
