Sr Engineer Technical Service City Irving State/Province Texas Responsibilities:

JOB LOCATION: 222 W. Las Colinas Blvd., Suite 900, Irving, TX 75039 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

Senior Engineer, Technical Service needed by Dupont Polymer Products, LLC in Irving, Texas [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to represent region for global customers specifications including handling, signature, and release. Responsible for completion of customer specification requests in the region. Work on customer interface to negotiate specifications with OEMs and external customers. Lead and coordinate different functions (Technical and Manufacturing) teams to complete the data/documents needed for a customer specification. Prepare ASTM callouts for our various resins in alignment with our global production test data. Prepare ISO designations for our various resins in alignment with our general property data. Review and run statistical analyses on our production test data to assure our global capability is aligned for presentation to customers for spec work. Negotiate internally with our product teams to align our BP’s properly with correct testing properties, methods, frequencies, and limits needed to gain customer specs successfully. Prepare data including lot, mechanical, ID scans, etc in proper customer data submission formats in order to negotiate the approval of our resins for approval to be used in various applications. Consult with customers to guide them through the drafting and finalization of their specification documents in alignment with the statistics of our material performance. Serve as VOC for testing needs to comply with specifications and certification. Review and submit the files and data package to customers for material approval including OEMs, tier1, etc. Interpret and provide appropriate industry standard/specification for DuPont material SPEC in. Set up, maintain, and review global/regional customer specification process. Manage customer specification documents including signing and release the customer specifications. Collaborate with OEMs to develop material standard for material approval and SPEC in. Act as a representative of M&M in local standard organization and industry standard organization including ISO, ASTM, and SAE and participate in relevant activities. Apply negotiating skills. Apply understanding and application of statistics principles such as confidence intervals on experimental data generated in a lab. Apply experience in an ISO9001 or ISO17025 lab. Apply knowledge with common lab tests for thermoplastics. Utilize Microsoft office products

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Science or Biological and Agricultural Engineer and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related occupation applying negotiating skills; applying understanding and application of statistics principles such as confidence intervals on experimental data generated in a lab; applying experience in an ISO9001 or ISO17025 lab; applying knowledge with common lab tests for thermoplastics; and utilizing Microsoft office products.

Senior Engineer, Technical Service earn between $121,230  to $162,448 yearly.
