About This Role

Electronic/electrical assembly and sub-assembly processes including precision electrical, mechanical, cable and harness assembliesMay also be qualified (via Quality System) to perform final inspections of assembliesPerform self-inspection and testing of assemblies producedAssemble by hand or using semiautomatic/automatic assembly equipment. Working with hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and torque wrenches Works from manufacturing assembly instructions, parts lists (bill of materials), drawings, verbal instructions and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components. Required to build to blueprint specifications.Evaluate and determine components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.Works with engineers to assist in the development of new products or processesOther related duties as required

Qualifications

High School diploma plus 4 years of manufacturing assembly experience working with complex and intricate electronic assemblies is required.Relevant military experience in electronic equipment is a plus.Ability to communicate and interface with program team to plan, prioritize, and execute anaggressive manufacturing schedule.Skilled and experienced at reading and understanding instructions, procedures, engineering drawings, electronic schematics and specifications.Experience with tools necessary to fabricate and test electronic circuitry. Experience working with wire harnessing, cable assembly and tooling specific to the electronics assemblySelf-starter – ability to plan, coordinate and execute daily tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervisionSolid background in digital and analog circuitry.IPC certified or able to obtain certification in IPC-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies), IPC-620 (Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies), and J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies).Proficient in the use of the following: Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point).Unit and Systems Level Test experience, including performance of system calibrations, is a plus.Experience working with various types of electronic parts: capacitors, resistors and connectorsExperience with quality standards and standard operating procedures to ensure that all assemblies meet/exceed quality standards, is a plus.Strong attention to detail to effectively assemble and test electronic assembliesEffective time management skills to ensure that contractual delivery obligations are satisfied in the specified timeframe with good OTD to meet and exceed customer expectations.Must be a US citizen able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance
