Job SummaryReporting to the EVP & President, News, Advertising & Programming, the Chief of Staff plays a pivotal role in the successful operation of the business unit. This position acts as a trusted advisor to the EVP & President and a key point of contact for the division’s senior leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders. This role is responsible for driving and overseeing the business unit’s critical and strategic initiatives to successful outcomes, ensuring alignment with organization and company goals. The position requires strong communication, business, financial, technical and program management acumen, as well as an ability to work with senior leaders in a fast-paced environment managing diverse programs and activities.
Responsibilities Serve as key point of contact for the EVP & President News, Advertising & Programming, the senior leadership team, and cross-functional stakeholders. Lead the coordination and development of agendas and meeting materials for key organizational meetings including senior/executive leadership meetings, operations review sessions, quarterly business reviews, All Hands/Town Halls, Summits, and other ad-hoc strategy discussions. Create concise and compelling presentations for both executive leadership and general employee audiences. Oversee key initiatives, including monitoring progress and completion of key milestones, with a focus on alignment with organization and broader company goals. Act as a strategic thought partner to the EVP & President and senior leadership team, providing data analysis and insights to inform decision making. Attend leadership meetings, documenting and publishing meeting notes outlining key decisions and action items; track next steps and follow up with action owners to ensure timely completion of assigned actions. Assess strategic concepts and partner with stakeholders on the development and launch of improvement plans. Work with teams across the News, Advertising, & Programming organization and other business units to provide input on annual business planning, and to translate business needs and concepts into actions, KPIs and execution plans. Review internal processes and workflows to identify, implement, and drive streamlining opportunities. Support the review of CapEX (Capital Expenditure) submissions aimed at driving business priorities. In partnership with HR and Finance, monitor the ongoing strategic workforce/staffing plan. Partner closely with the EVP & President’s Executive Assistant to ensure highest impact initiatives are prioritized on the calendar.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field; Advanced degree preferred 12+ years of experience in a business management or former chief of staff role, preferably in the media industry Proven success in managing complex projects and driving strategic initiatives. Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on cross-functional and executive leadership communications. Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders and agendas simultaneously Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong business sense to help drive prioritization decisions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions Strong financial and business acumen Managerial courage Strong negotiation skills Ability to deal with ambiguity and to turn concepts into actionable plans

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $161,186.00 - $230,265.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
